Frequently Asked Questions

What's the difference between the Unica Roma and Unica Start models?

The Unica Start is a simpler "plug and play" option designed for back bar or private use.

The main difference is that there is no card functionality with Unica Start, so it is not suitable for self-service, but it is perfect for behind the bar of a venue, or the counter of a cellar door.

How does the self-service work?

The self-service works through dedicated wine cards. The cards can be loaded with pre-paid credit, or the card can keep track of the bill to be settled at the end.

Can customers just use their credit cards instead of wine cards?

Not yet! We are hoping this feature will be available at some point, but it's a very complicated one.

We do offer API integrations though, if you have an app or other cards within your business. You can build a custom QR or RFID-based system to let customers pour wine with stored credit. The dispenser checks the code in our database and allows pouring if valid.

Do you offer financing?

We work with Silverchef on financing; you can get approval in under five minutes.

We know cash flow in business is key, and that enomatic® machines are an investment. We will work with you however we can to make it possible.
