Pour your best wines. Stop worrying about waste.

Wine Dispensers for Cellar Doors & Tasting Rooms

You've made wines you're genuinely proud of. But opening a flagship or reserve bottle for tastings carries real risk – if the right visitors don't come through that day, you've poured away margin on your own best work.

An Enomatic wine serving system preserves open bottles for up to 21 days using high-purity argon gas. That means you can put your flagship on the tasting list on a Tuesday, knowing it'll still be perfect the following weekend.

The result: a tasting program that actually showcases your range – not just the wines you can afford to lose.

The problem with most cellar door tastings

Most cellar door tasting programs have an invisible ceiling. You can pour the entry-level range without much anxiety. But the reserve? The single vineyard? The flagship you spent three years making? Opening that for tastings is a gamble.

One slow afternoon and you've lost a bottle that took months to produce and costs real money to replace. So it stays on the shelf, and visitors leave having tasted the wines that are easiest to open, not the ones that would actually move them.

That's a missed sale, and a missed impression.

Open your best bottles. Keep them fresh for 21 days.

An Enomatic wine dispenser uses high-purity argon gas to preserve each open bottle the moment it's loaded. The result is a bottle that tastes as good on day 21 as it did on day one.

With an Enomatic at your cellar door, you can:

  • Pour your flagship, reserve, and single vineyard wines at tastings without waste risk
  • Offer a rotating range that evolves with your seasonal releases
  • Run a structured paid tasting experience — with or without staff overseeing each pour
  • Handle peak-season visitor traffic without adding staff to manage the tasting bar (and manage quieter seasons with fewer staff)

Which Enomatic works best for your cellar door?

The right setup depends on how your tasting room operates – and how hands-on your team needs to be.

Staff-Led

Add your best bottles to the tasting, risk-free

The Unica Start sits behind your tasting bar. Your team pours using the machine – one press of a button, perfectly calibrated. No cards, no software, no complexity.

For most cellar doors, this is the entry point: a Unica Start 2 or 4 to add a few premium bottles to the existing tasting lineup. Visitors get to try the wines you're most proud of. You don't lose a drop you can't account for.

Best for:

  • Cellar doors that run guided, staff-led tastings
  • Wineries wanting to add reserve or flagship bottles to the tasting without the waste risk
  • Tasting rooms that want to keep things simple and operational

Self-Guided

A structured tasting experience that runs itself

The Unica Roma uses a card access system. Visitors purchase a pre-loaded tasting card – say, $30 for four wines – and pour their own selections at their own pace. No staff required at the machine.

The software is built into the machine at no extra cost, and it's designed exactly for this format: fixed-price tasting flights where visitors pre-pay and explore.

Best for:

  • Busy cellar doors who can't staff every pour
  • Wineries wanting to charge for tastings in a clean, structured format
  • Tasting rooms that want visitors to explore the range at their own pace
  • Seasonal operations where staffing fluctuates

How an Enomatic works in a tasting room

Choose your setup.

Staff-led (Unica Start) or self-guided with pre-paid cards (Unica Roma). We'll help you match the right system to how your tasting room actually operates.

Load your bottles.

Open the wines you want to feature — including your flagships — and slot them in. Argon preservation starts immediately.

Set your pours.

Each wine can have up to three calibrated pour sizes – such as a taste, a small glass, a full pour. Pre-set to the ml for consistency across every visitor.

Visitors taste your full range.

Not just the entry-level wines. The bottles you're most proud of, poured with the same care and precision every time.

No waste.

Anything not poured that day stays fresh for up to 21 days. Open it again tomorrow, next week — it'll still be at its best.

Two ways to structure tastings with an Enomatic

Cellar doors use Enomatic systems in two main formats — and some run both: a staff-led guided experience for booked groups, and a self-guided option for walk-ins.

Guided tasting with premium additions

Your team leads the tasting as usual, but the Enomatic handles the pours — including the reserve and flagship bottles you'd otherwise hesitate to open. Staff stay in control; the machine handles preservation and calibration.

Self-guided paid tasting flights

Visitors buy a pre-loaded tasting card at the counter, then pour their own selection from the Unica Roma. Ideal for busy periods, weekends, or when you want the cellar door open and running without a dedicated tasting host at every machine.

How much does a wine dispenser cost for a cellar door?

The Unica Start (for behind the counter) starts from $7,200 inc. GST and freight for a 2-bottle unit, up to $18,500 for an 8-bottle unit. Card-operated Unica Roma units start from $18,000.

How long does wine stay fresh in an Enomatic machine?

Around 21-30 days for most wines when preserved straight away with high-purity argon. Compare that with 24 hours for an open bottle without preservation. That single difference fundamentally changes the economics of running a tasting program – you can open your best bottles without gambling on selling enough that day.

Do I need professional installation?

The Unica Start is designed for self-installation – it's plug-and-play. No technician required (although we can arrange this if you would like professional installation and staff training).

The Unica Roma system requires professional installation, which we handle directly across Australia. We'll discuss this with you when you book a call with us.

What gas do I need to run an Enomatic?

High-purity argon. We recommend argon for slightly better preservation than nitrogen. Ongoing cost is roughly $5 per week.

We recommend SupaGas as a reliable Australia-wide supplier.

Can I charge visitors for tastings using an Enomatic?

Yes – this is one of the most common setups at cellar doors.

The most common way cellar doors use self-service machines is staff pre-load credit onto a tasting card (e.g. "$30 for four wines"), visitors use the card to pour their selections, and the machine handles the rest. It's a clean, structured format that works well for both walk-ins and booked groups.

Can I use an Enomatic just for my premium or reserve wines?

Absolutely – and this is how many cellar doors start. A Unica Start 2 (2-bottle unit) lets you keep two premium bottles open at the tasting bar without the usual waste risk. It's a low-commitment entry point that adds real range to your existing tasting program. From there, if you would like to, you can scale up with larger units.

How does it handle peak season or high visitor volumes?

The self-service Unica Roma is particularly well-suited to high-traffic periods. Visitors pour their own selections using a pre-loaded card, which means the machine can run through a busy Saturday without needing a dedicated staff member at the tasting bar for every pour. Your team can be present for the conversation, not just the logistics.

What warranty and maintenance is included?

A three year warranty is included in your purchase.

We will send you a link to access our troubleshooting library too, which includes videos showing you how to fix the most common issues, such as a blocked tube or a Wifi connection issue. We want you to be able to get your machine back online as quickly as possible, and find that 99% of our servicing requests can be solved with these free instructions.

Do you offer financing options?

We work with Silverchef on financing; you can get approval in under five minutes. We know cash flow in business is key, and that enomatic® machines are an investment.
