New Wine Tech Uncorked at Sydney’s Oldest Pub
Throughout August, the historic Lord Nelson Brewery Hotel in The Rocks is unveiling a fresh take on its acclaimed wine offering, offering a month-long by-the-glass activation with wine preservation pioneers Enomatic and renowned supplier Samuel Smith & Son.
The pop-up will run across both the award-winning Upstairs restaurant and the newly refreshed downstairs bar, which has just reopened following renovations – including a brand new kitchen and updated menu.
The fun will begin on the week beginning 4 August, with a launch list curated to feature standout producers such as L&C Poitout from Burgundy, as well as Aussie favourites Vasse Felix, Dalrymple, and Brokenwood.
Kristian Savio, General Manager of the Lord Nelson Brewery Hotel, says the Enomatics offer a new way to engage wine-loving locals and visitors alike: “We’ve been proud to receive multiple awards and glasses at Australia’s Wine List of the Year Awards, and we’re always looking for ways to expand what we offer.
“The Enomatic system gives us flexibility to showcase incredible wines, served at their best, by the glass. It’s exciting to be using such cutting-edge technology within the walls of Sydney's 183 year old pub.”
The activation runs for a month, from 4 August to 1 September, with wines available during regular trading hours at both the bar and restaurant. Follow @lordnelsonbrewery for updates.
